In my last posts, I have shared with you some pictures of Audrey Hepburn who was one of my favorite actresses. She attracted me by right of her graceful temperament and her elegant dressing style. I have realized that there are so many points I want to mention about her. Thus, now I want to continue this sharing job. Also, I really hope that you will enjoy this topic.
One outstanding feature of Hepburn’s dresses is conciseness. This can be well proved in all dresses Hepburn ever wore in her films. I guess you may have difficulties in recalling some of her classic screen images, so I have prepared a list of pictures for you as follows.
The first one I want to show you is a long wide night dress she ever wore. This dress is embellished with embroidered flowers which give the dress a graceful look. Hepburn was born with a slim figure. Thus, long dresses always function well in her. The white gloves look even more charming when teaming with this dress. In a word, the whole ensemble is just perfect.
In the film “Breakfast at Jiffany’s”, Hepburn also built several classic screen images. The long black dress impressed people a lot. It was reported that this dress had been sold at a whopping price on an auction. Hepburn appeared to be a real lover of black dresses and indeed, she was the most successful spokesperson of those dresses. She usually kept a posture of a ballet dancer and thus, she looked elegant all the time.

Audrey Hepburn impresses me mainly due to her elegant temperament and concise dressing style. Both in films and in her life, Hepburn was so simple a woman that I would like to compare her as a cup of water. All her dresses are symbols of fashion in her days, from which we could see what the fashion world was like at that times. In my eyes, that was a time when elegant looks were appreciated most. All women’s dresses at that time, though simple-looking, delivered an idea of conciseness and gracefulness. Indeed, Hepburn was a good fashion leader in her days since all her costumes are stating such a style.
Do you remember the ever-popular waist skirt? Paired with a white shirt and a small piece of silk scarf, the skirt highlights a girl’s slim waist very much. This dress style was not only popular in Europe but also quite trendy throughout the world.
Endowed with a slim figure, Hepburn was a good spokeswoman of fashion trend at that time. Any dress or costume, as worn by her, would look very distinguished at once. This was mainly due to her noble temperament she had been born with. In a word, no matter how simple a dress looked, she could show it wonderfully in her special way. From all her costumes, we could note that Hepburn was a lover of simple-designed outfits and indeed, she deserved to be wearers of those suits and dresses. If you like watching movies, I guess you must be familiar with the classic film named “Roman Holiday”. It was so impressive which left people a lot, including the romantic love story, gorgeous dresses of the actress and most importantly, a vivid image of “an angel”. The angel, I mean, is the actress of the movie, Audrey Hepburn. Her name is so well-known all over the world. Every time when a person mentions her, what comes to our mind is her big, bright eyes and sweet smile. In her days, her influence in the film field was beyond our imagination. No less than one person ever regarded her as a living “angel” on earth.
There are so many things that can be talked about when it comes to Hepburn; thus, I’m stuck in a dilemma that where I shall start from. To make my description more comprehensive, I am about to undertake this job step by step. One thing that is always lingering in my mind is Hepburn’s dressing style. I cannot find another actress who dresses herself as concise as Hepburn. Do you remember that princess dress she ever wore in the movie “Roman Holiday”? Hepburn, in that long dress, revealed to us what a real noble princess was like. I am obsessed with her hair style as such a style suits her most, especially when teaming with the royal crown and the princess dress. The whole ensemble looks more than wonderful. And indeed, she was the most beautiful princess I have ever met. Since the movie was showed to the world, this image began to be regarded as an eternal image in the film history.
